Key Programmes / Activities
Cyberwellness
Cyber Wellness talks and educational activities are conducted during School Assembly and Form Teacher Guidance Periods. Lessons are integrated into the curriculum to further guide our pupils in protecting themselves in the Cyber World.
The school would like to encourage parents to continue the conversation at home with their children through a mobile application developed by Ministry of Education. Parents can now download a new mobile game app, C-Quest, and have conversations on cyber wellness with their children. Targeted at parents with children aged 10 to 14, C-Quest is specially designed to facilitate meaningful parent-child conversations on their online experiences. Through the game, students will also learn to be safe, respectful, and responsible users of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
Players can begin the game by choosing one of the three Cyber Navigators for their C-Quest to explore the cyber seas. The three Cyber Navigators are:
- Master over Technology - to be captains of their own lives and not to be enslaved to technology and mobile gadgets;
- Protector - to watch out for one another, as protectors, and be safe online; and
- Relationship-Builder - to build positive relationships online, to avoid sparking unnecessary conflicts which would end up hurting others and one self.

P1 to P6 ICT Baseline Skills Programme
In order for our students to fully benefit from a curriculum enriched with ICT, and eventually thrive in a technology-driven society, a set of ICT skill competencies is set out in 4 progressive key stages. It represents the basic level of knowledge, skills and values that pupils need and these will be passed on to the students throughout their primary and secondary education.
Every pupil will undergo The Baseline ICT Standards Programme during their 6-year education in Yio Chu Kang Primary School. Included in this programme is the inculcation of 2 critical Cyber Wellness principles, namely, Respect for Self and Others, and Safe and Responsible Use.
